Mkuti
Hill Camp

A hidden wilderness

On the edge of the Luwego River.

Nestled on the banks of the Luwego River in Nyerere National Park's Ilonga sector, Mkuti Hill Camp offers extraordinary seclusion. As the only camp south of the Kilombero River, it provides access to an untouched expanse of more than 28,000 km².

Once an ancient lake, the valley floor is strewn with petrified wood, including pieces that still resemble full tree trunks. The camp's terraced main area is thoughtfully built with these fossilized logs and river sand.
